Improving the Power and Quality of Your Most Versatile Business Tool

As a voice coach, people sometimes say to me: "I want to sound like a totally different person" or "I wish I sounded like ..." Any voice coach should be especially wary of trying to grant this particular request. No one should be trying to communicate with a voice that is not their own, as vocal insincerity or artifice can be at least as off-putting as any vocal problem. Vocal development is the key. With credible, informed voice coaching - along with a clear understanding of how your voice and breath control actually works - you can discover the means to unlock a free, confident, strong voice that is all your own; to master a whole variety of exciting vocal skills, unhindered by deeply-ingrained bad habits.

Of course, you should expect to experience powerful and signicant positive changes to your voice and speech as a result of voice coaching. For example, you may wish to deepen your voice, develop a more appealing tone quality, make your voice less "monotonous", make your voice louder, soften your accent, avoid vocal fatigue, etc. All such changes are easy to achieve IF they are implemented safely and naturally by a highly experienced voice coach so that the changes are "real" and sustainable. The ultimate goal for a responsible voice coach should be to help you to enhance your voice, eradicate any vocal problems, transform your public speaking skills and realise your voice’s full potential without falsifying your overall vocal image.

I am a highly qualified UK based voice teacher who specialises in working with business professionals to improve their vocal impact, speech, presentation and communication skills in relation to their working lives. I am also a highly experienced dialect coach who can provide expert help with accent-reduction and pronunciation if required. I work in-house with companies and organisations, either on private contracts or as a freelance consultant to PR firms. I also teach many private clients on a one-to-one basis from my studio in West London or, depending on location, at the client's place of work

When it comes to the structure of my voice coaching services my approach is distinctive. Complete flexibility is fundamental to my coaching philosophy and practice. Each speaker has very different vocal problems and strengths along with different goals and areas for development with regard to their speech and communication skills. I believe it is imperative to address each client's needs on an individual basis to achieve truly powerful results!

To this end, I do not impose a minimum course or block of sessions nor a set of pre-designed voice coaching packages. It is entirely up to the client to have as few or as many sessions as they require and all sessions are tailored specifically to the needs of the client. Where applicable I will custom design a unique yet flexible training program for each client and I believe it is my job to ensure that each speaker achieves the best possible results within the time available.

Please be assured that I am not an "image guru". There is no spin or gimmickry to my teaching methods. They are uniquely tailored to the client's needs and are based on pure vocal physiology and on a comprehensive working knowledge of the human voice. I also believe it is vital to pass that knowledge on to the client in a clear and uncomplicated way, so that he/she can also continue to improve upon their vocal impact skills in their own time.

I am something of a voice-geek! I genuinely care about voices and about the progress of my clients and to this end my level of aftercare is high. I am always happy to respond to any calls / emails from current or past clients on the work we have done or on any further areas of concern. I am also happy to arrange trouble-shooting sessions at very short notice - wherever possible - should a client wish to prepare for a presentation, interview or public engagement, etc.

Above all, I feel it is important for voice work to be effective, fun, relaxed and informative; empowering rather than intimidating.

If you, or members of your staff, are looking to significantly improve upon this most natural and versatile of business skills and would like to do so under relaxed, trusting and confidential conditions please contact me by email or phone to discuss your specific requirements.
